Transcend to Showcase Security Embedded Solutions at ISC WEST 2018

2018/04/03

Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend®), for the first time, will be participating at ISC WEST 2018 at the Sands Convention Center from the 11th to 13th of April in Las Vegas, Nevada. Visitors will not only find a broad portfolio of proven embedded security storage solutions, but also new products. This year’s highlights include Transcend's memory modules, flash storage solutions, body and dash cameras, SATA III SSDs, and a variety of embedded technologies proven to improve the performance in security applications.

Embedded Technologies for Security Applications
Transcend offers a variety of customized services, ranging from solutions with optimized firmware to customized products with special features, also known as ”embedded technologies.” Some embedded technologies highlighted during ISC WEST will include: TCG Opal Specification, a class that defines level permissions for the storage/retrieval of files, protecting user data in Opal devices; Intelligent Power Shield (IPS), a technology for DRAM SSDs operating at 5V to minimize the risk of data corruption in an event of sudden power outage; Wide Temperature, to ensure each product passes rigorous testing in a Wide Temperature Cycle Chamber; and AES Encryption, for applications that handle sensitive data or require increased data security.

Live Demo: AES Encryption Technology
Transcend will demonstrate its AES Encryption embedded technology using a SATA III 6Gb/s 2.5” SSD420K. Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a cryptographic algorithm that can be used to protect electronic data by using a symmetric block cipher that can encrypt and decrypt data. Transcend’s SSDs equipped with hardware-based AES encryption offer excellent data protection and performance compared to competing offerings that utilize software-based or firmware-based encryption. Aside from the AES encryption demo, attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about Transcend’s Crypto Erase data security technology and its correlation with AES.

Live Demo: NEW DrivePro Body 60 Body Camera and Control Center
Transcend will present its new DrivePro Body 60 body camera along with DrivePro Body Control Center software, aimed for police officers, security guards, and other professionals. The DrivePro Body Control Center software is designed to optimize the management of footage recorded by DrivePro Body cameras and data retrieved from DPD6N docking stations. Some key features highlighted in the demo include the ability to manage and edit videos or photos, quick search for video footage, and server management.
